Meet Griff and Bo!

To start the new year...

I am so excited to announce to you all our SECOND Moxie’s Mission recipient. If you are not sure what Moxie’s Mission is, Moxie’s Mission is our non profit that is dedicated to paying it forward to make a difference. One big way we do that is by funding fully trained service dogs for qualifying individuals. You can find more info at www.adventureswithmoxie.com as well as our first recipient.

Meet Staff Sergeant Persons B. Griffith IV (retired) and Balboa!! Griff is a Marine veteran who experienced the horror of war in Afghanistan, and although he is home, he is still fighting the war against PTSD.

I met Griff and “Bo” through another non profit called Puppy Prodigies https://www.puppyprodigies.org, who has extensive experience with service dogs, therapy dogs, and emotional support dogs. You can watch the training updates on Surf Dog Ricochet's instagram and facebook page.

Moxie’s Mission is all about coming together and doing something bigger than ourselves and this is definitely an example of that! Due to some unforeseen circumstances when Balboa was a puppy, initial fundraising was done for medical bills. Thankfully, because of such swift action, the puppy is now perfectly healthy! With that initial fundraising, they only have $15,000 left to be fully funded, which is what Moxie’s Mission has dedicated to raising with YOUR help!

Our main event will be in May (COVID pending), but we will still have some opportunities to help leading up to that.
