Hello & Welcome!

 

My name is Katie, and I am a Social Worker as well as the Founder and CEO of Moxie's Mission. I have a genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos, which is a group of disorders that affect the connective tissues supporting the skin, bones, blood vessels, and various other organs and tissues.

I never imagined having a service dog, but I am incredibly grateful for Moxie!

Some of Moxie's tasks include retrieving items, picking up things I need, opening and closing doors, providing medical alerts, and more. When Moxie isn't assisting me, she enjoys playing fetch, basketball, visiting the park, going for long walks, and meeting new people.

 

Starting a nonprofit was never something I had in my plans, but as life changed, so did my plans. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be able to continue my work as a virtual social worker while also being able to help others through Moxie's Mission. I am so excited for what's in store and hope you join us in paying it forward to make a difference.
